Max Architecture - Maxence Horvath

Welcome

You will find on this website a selection of projects, art pieces and completed buildings that best represent our working approach.

Architecture is a rich and complex field, where abstract science and empirical knowledge can interact. In architecture, listening is not only a virtue, but also a duty. The uniqueness of each project becomes an opportunity to question one’s own certainties, and to make a common space grow.

Although Internet is a wonderful tool to some extents, our vision of relationships remains very much attached to coffee sharing and hand shaking. So feel free to get in touch with us, and we will respond with great pleasure.

Maxence Horvath

Architecte DESA

After graduating frome the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture (Paris) in 2007, Maxence Horvath got the opportunity to discover the reality of his profession through international offices, in Paris, New York and Barcelona (Peter Eisenman, Gluck and Partners and Ateliers Jean Nouvel). There, he learned how to build well (design-build method in the States), design well (graphism, 3D and competitions at Jean Nouvel) and dream well (over twenty competitions on his own name, including some mentions).

Vocation

The architect is the spine of a project. His activity is essential to the building process. On top of bringing new ideas to the team, he centralizes all the questions, and makes everybody’s load lighter on the field.

But before all, he tells a story. The story of a building and the lives around it. And, as for any story, it only works when the storyteller is good enough to trigger emotions through a concise phrasing.

Pratique

“And I say that life is darkness save when there is urge. And all urge is blind save when there is knowledge. And all knowledge is vain save when there is work. And all work is empty save when there is love.” K.Ghibran

We prefer rigor rather than rigidity. We prefer the love for work rather than the fear for difficulties. We prefer the silent recognition of well-done things rather than the disturbing noise of empty commercials.
