This project is located in the Darius Milhaud house, an architectural and heritage landmark in Aix. As a result, the project was designed in close collaboration with the Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles (DRAC), the Unité Départementale de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine (UDAP) and the town planning department of Aix-en-Provence.
The result is a new-generation workspace that cleverly blends heritage preservation with a host of digital functionalities, proving that the most contemporary programs can also fit into a classic architectural framework.
The use of various artists and designers contributes to the dialogue between different aesthetics. The space is designed as a “hub”, with coworking spaces on the first floor and in the basement, encouraging exchanges and communication, both fertile ground for innovation and creation.
