LE BIS, Villa, Near Aix-en-Provence (13)
Le Bis is a village house, atypical in both its form and style. It adapts to a long, narrow plot with a simple layout and minimized hallways. The bedrooms, all facing south, combine privacy with natural light. The architectural vocabulary asserts a contemporary rigor while blending into a protected and traditional historic center (within the jurisdiction of the Architect of Buildings of France).
From a technical perspective, special attention has been given to summer comfort, with external thermal insulation made of wood wool and shading systems for the glazed areas. As a result, the house remains cool without losing brightness, demonstrating that energy efficiency doesn’t necessarily mean aesthetic austerity.
Building complies with the 2020 Energy Regulations, rated A+.
